What I Ate Wednesday

Hey all you lovlies! Here is what I ate yesterday. I think I had a snack somewhere in there, but I honestly can't remember what it was and I obviously forgot to take a just imagine some terribly bad for me type snack in between lunch and dinner!

Over the weekend my awesome husband made pumpkin waffles. We always make a bunch and then freeze them to eat during the week. So I grabbed one. And because my husband is so awesome, he also made us a strawberry, blueberry, banana smoothie to go along side! Yum.

I had leftover roasted chicken so my husband made some chicken salad with Plantes & Parfums Provence tarragon mustard. Tarragon and chicken go together perfectly. Again, yum! I love a man who can and will cook.

I had leftovers today because it was just me and the kids for dinner. Have you noticed I'm a fan of leftovers yet? But the night before I made my Oktoberfest dinner for the month (Bratwurst with Potato Cakes) and it made loads! I had enough for dinner the first night, dinner for a second night and lunch for myself today. I love meals like that. The picture makes it look awful, but I'm sure there is no real way to make that look good in a picture unless you are a professional...which I am not! But believe me, it was good.

What do you like to eat during the month of October? Do you have a Oktoberfest specialty? I LOVE German food.

Ulta Haul

Ulta was having a sale a week or two ago on a few brands that I have been interested in trying out, so I decided to splash out and place an order. Here is what I got and what I think of them after trying them out for a while:

Butter London

I've wanted to try these polishes for ages, and when I missed the last buy 2 get 1 free deal I was upset! So when I saw that they were doing this deal again, I snatched up a few. These are a bit on the Summery side, but I am a fan of brighter colors most of the year. I picked up Trout Pout (a salmony coral color), Slapper (a bright teal), and the Limited Edition: Lilibet's Jubilee (a purple silver fine glittery color). These went on nicely with one coat, although I'd certainly use two. I haven't worn them for any length of time yet, so I can't talk about longevity, but I do like the colors and the formula. The only request I'd make to them is maybe a bit of a wider brush. I will be getting more of these when they go on sale again...they are a bit expensive for a nail polish.

There were a few bits I wanted to try from Maybelline (the Falsies Flared mascara and the Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow) and they were on sale buy one get one 50% off, so I went ahead and grabbed those too. The Falsies Flared Volum' Express mascara I got the Blackest Black and I really really like it! I have naturally long dark eyelashes, so it doesn't take much to make them look fake, but this rivaled Benefit's Bad Gal Lash without the flaking halfway through the day. And another YouTube beauty guru cult classic is the Color Tattoo 24 hour cream eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze. I never wear cream eyeshadow because it normally creases on me, but I wanted to try this as an easy sweep of color for days I don't feel like doing much work on my eyes. I used my Urban Decay Primer Potion then swept this color over my lid with a shadow brush then just took a crease brush and blended it out. It literally lasted ALL day! The first day I wore it it was 89 degrees outside and I was outside all day. It.did.not.budge. I tried again and it was on my eyes for at least 18 hours that day and the same thing. The rest of my face was long gone by the end of the day, but my eyeshadow looked like I had just done it! I will be purchasing other colors of these. So easy and great lasting power!

I hear NYX mentioned on YouTube all the time. I have seen it in stores, but never thought to try it. These items were on sale (I think like a dollar off each.), so I grabbed two to check out. I picked up the blush in Terracotta (thanks to Este or EssieButton on YouTube) and have to admit, this is an amazing color! It is the perfect natural flush on my skin tone. I think it will be my go to blush for the Fall and Winter this year for sure. I wanted to try out an eyeshadow too, so I grabbed the My Favorite Color one and again, it's great. I use it as an inner corner highlight color.

These products are just so soft and nicely pigmented for their price point. I definitely want to try out some more of their items.

Here are the swatches of the blush and eyeshadow:

Here are the 3 samples I chose at checkout. I have used the perfume before and know I love it. I ran out recently, so this will be nice for travel. The others I just picked because I know I like the brands. I have not tried these out yet.

Have any of you tried the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadow or anything by NYX? What are your favorite colors or items? I'd love to try other items!

Sephora Mini Haul

Hey lovelies! Sorry I've been away for awhile, but I had some family things to attend to. No matter my fondness for all things girlie, family always come first. Now that things have calmed down, I can get back to the fun.
Awhile back I did a little sneaky Sephora shop online. They came out with a few new sets, and this one caught my eye. Can you guess why?
Laura Mercier, Stila Convertable Color, Benefit, Nars Orgasam, and Tarte...oh my! The mini products are so darn cute I can't stand it! I heart minis. I have yet to use any of them because of said family stuff, but I plan to do some playing around with them over the coming weeks. You can be sure there will be some Instagrams of the madness here.
And simply because I needed to spend $5 more to get free shipping, I snatched up this Soap & Glory body butter. I have nearly used this container up! Granted it is a tiny one at 50mL, but I love it! The smell is subtly sweet, but hard to explain. It's just that smell in the background that makes you think, "hmm, something smells good."

Even here in the "south" the air has gotten cooler and very dry, so I've been using this after my shower at night. It does the trick. I'd definitely purchase the full size of this when I run out.

And outside of the 3 samples I picked with my order, that is all. Stay tuned for my October Glossybox Open box post coming at ya tomorrow! Thanks for coming by.

Have you purchased any great beauty box sets lately? There are tons out for the holiday shopping season. I'd love to know if you have!

What I Ate Wednesday

Here is what I ate yesterday:

Here is a standard breakfast for me. I prefer the Blue Diamond Original Unsweetened Almond Milk, but I had a coupon for the Silk kind when I went to the store that's that. I really like the Kellogg's Frosted Mini-Wheats Little Bites, and I have seen today that there is a recall on the Mini-Wheats. Esh! Anywho, pretty boring, but that is that. I then got really cold and decided I'd have a cup of coffee - decaf of course. So here's that!

For lunch I cleaned out the fridge and ate the leftovers that had been in the longest. It was a pork chop from our local fire department's pork chop dinner plates. We like to get them each year to help support the guys that would be helping us if we were ever in need. I also had a left over baked potato, so I slapped a bit of light butter and light sour cream on it and Bob's your uncle.

Because girlie things are going on this week (I'll leave it at that.), I've been feeling sue me! I had a few of these yummy Riesen chocolate covered caramels. Love! And later in the day I had this orange marshmallow-y treat with chocolate and a cream center...indulgent I know. Shhh!

Ok, so I had to get my flu shot after I picked my oldest saucey little person up from school, and that took much longer than intended. Then we had a bit of a meltdown during homework time, and I had a document to get out to a client before the end of business...the list goes on...But long story short, dinner didn't get in the oven until too late, so I ran out and grabbed some more naughty food for the fam. The postive to all of this is that I now have dinner for tonight with little effort! Also, I was so frazzled that I didn't get a picture of dinner:( I'm sorry. However, I do have a bit of a spoiler image for you instead.

Finally, to end of a terrible day of eating, we had this Apple Betty with vanilla ice cream. It was yummy! That is all!

What do you go for when you've had a stressful day with no time to make dinner?

What I Ate Wednesday

Yeah, I'm a few days late...that's what happens when...well, life happens.

I had a working breakfast. I don't drink coffee too often anymore, but I felt like a cup. Mine was decaf with some CoffeemateVanilla Latte Powder Creamer. I'm trying to clean out my deep freezer, so I finished off the last plain bagel that my oldest son had long left...I don't normally eat plain bagels. I just slapped a little butter and Concord Grape jam on it and that was breakfast! I also took my vitamins and drank a large cup of water as usual.

Keeping in theme with cleaning out the freezer and fridge, I had leftovers. You will find this a lot with me since I work at home and it's just easier and cheaper to eat leftovers. I actually dig 'em! This was Itailian Sausage Ravioli with Vodka Sauce and Light Alfredo Sauce and a cheddar garlic biscuit I had made a few nights ago. Yum!

Dinner was a lazy one. I threw an Uno's Pepporoni Flatbread Pizza in the offen and slapped a salad together and dinner was served. I was so busy Wednesday that this was all I could muster. Not exactly the healthiest, but good nonetheless. I had a mixture of iced tea and pink lemonade to drink with both lunch and dinner. I need to drink less of it, but it's so darn good!

This time of year is my FAVORITE for desserts! Pumpkin everything is the name of the game. This was a piece of Pumpkin Spice Bar Cake from our local Sam's Club Bakery. It was moist and pumpkiny! The cream cheese icing was good too, not too sweet. I find that I really do like most things we've tried from their bakery.

So all in all, not the most calorie friendly day of eating, but it got the job done. My family didn't go hungry, and that is the name of the game!

What is your favorite thing to eat as Summer turns to Fall?

Summer Haul

This is going to seem excessive, but I promise you these items have truly been purchased over a LONG period of time. Everything contained within this haul post was purchased with my own money. There is a range of stores that I visited over the entire Summer months. Some I even went to more than once (ie. Target & Sephora. Who can stay out of these stores?!).

As with the Summer Empties post from yesterday, I promise I will not be waiting this long to do hauls again. I actually placed an order with Ulta the other day when they had a sale on for Maybelline and Butter London...there were a few things I've been wanting to try out, and if you ask me you can't ever have enough nail polishes. Don't mind me, I'm just trying to justify my obsession with these beauty 'Toys R Us' type stores! Anywho, let's get into it.

Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel $6.99, Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash $6.99, Garnier Skin Renewal Anti-Dark Circle Roller $9.99, Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in 250 Fresh Beige $9.99, Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand $6.94, e.l.f. Small Angled Brush $1.00, Studio Tools Crease Makeup Brush $6.00, Tweezerman Straight Edged Clippers $11.00

Like I said, I picked these bits up in multiple trips. I had gotten one of the Simple face washes in a Target Sample Bag and like that it is good for sensitive skin. I had some good coupons, so I went ahead and stocked up. I can’t remember where I heard about the Garnier Roller, but I can’t say that I notice much difference when I use it. I think I prefer just a normal under eye concealer. I picked up the Revlon and Maybelline bits based on Missglamorazzi’s YouTube videos. The brushes and clippers I got because I needed them. I love the Tweezerman brand items; tweezers, clippers, and scissors.

Vanilla Puff Powder Dusting Powder $6.95, Sexy Peel Soap $5.95, Lush Body Butter Tin $3.95, Avobath Bath Bomb $6.25
I obviously watch too much YouTube...but Este from EssieButton mentioned the Vanilla Puff Powder in a video and I thought it sounded nice, so I purchased that. I haven't used it too much yet, but I'm sure I will be over the winter months when I am wearing more body lotions. I love the citrusy scent of the Sexy Peel soap, but it just isn't moisturizing enough for me. I haven't tried the Avobath Bath Bomb yet, but it is making my bathroom smell amazing in the meantime. Thanks to the friendly girl in the Lush store that recommended it to me! I plan to indulge in a bath with it once the weather starts staying cooler.

YSL Rouge Volupte in 2 Sensual Silk $34.00, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy $25.00, Smashbox The Nude Lip Pencil in Fair $17.00, Benefit Cosmetics Tan About Town $12.00
So I am on Pinterest. I saw a picture of a girl wearing this gorgeous nudey peach lipstick. I pinned it, of course. I went on a quest to figure out what shade it was, because sadly this girl didn't post the shade name! She did show the tube, which was a YSL lipstick...that narrowed it down for me. So I went to Sephora and swatched every single YSL lipstick they had! I finally found it and the angels descended from heaven singing....No, not really, but I did squeal in excitement right there in the store! I bought the Tarte blush because Anna from ViviannaDoesMakeup raves about it all the time. It is beautiful! I picked up the Benefit minis on a whim because I had wanted to try these products. The Bad Gal Lash makes my lashes look fake. I have naturally longer lashes anyway, but this stuff makes them borderline ridiculous. Unfortunately, it does tend to flake after a while, but I do like the effect if gives.

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil $22.00, OPI Matte Nail Envy $7.20, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat $5.10, Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee $6.67

This was a total YouTube inspired haul here...I'm somewhat ashamed. I'd be more ashamed if I hadn't absolutely adored each of these products. I'm sure you all have heard about these, but if you haven't tried them, I totally recommend them all. The shower oil smells wonderful and makes my skin feel great. The Seche Vite top coat truly did dry in no time, and when coupled with the nail envy as a base coat with 2 coats of Essie polish, my manicure lasted well over 5 days! I can thank Anna of TheStyleDiet for making me want the lip butter. It just looked so pretty on her, and it works well with my skin tone too.

Real Techniques Setting Brush, Expert Face Brush, and Blush Brush
Sneekpeeq is one of those flash deal sites where they host special deals on products for a set amount of time. I got these brushes as a set for like $15 I think. They aren't on there at the moment, but I've seen them go up a few times, so it's worth it to check back frequently. I love the quality of these brushes. They are so soft and make applying makeup so much more enjoyable!

Clarisonic Sensitive Brush Heads $25.00
I received a Clarisonic Mia for my Birthday in the Spring and I needed some replacement brush heads. You are supposed to replace them every 3 months, but every 4 is fine for the frequency that I use mine. But I got an email saying they were on sale 4 for $75 and I had a $25 off coupon code from when I registered my Mia. So I went and picked up 4 of these brush heads and paid only $50! I do love a good deal.

Bath & Body Works
Slatin & Co Leaves 3-Wick Candle, Slatkin & Co Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin 3-Wick Candle, Slatkin & Co Cider Lane 3-Wick Candle, White Barn Cranberry Woods 3-Wick Candle
After hearing Jen from MyHousewifeLife on YouTube rave about the Leaves candle, I had to have one! When I went to the website they were on sale 2 for $20 plus I had a 20% off coupon, so I picked up 4. They are regularly $19.50 each and I got them for $8.00 each with the discounts! The candles are awesome. The only complaint I have is that they smell so amazing that I just want to burn them all the time and they don't last long that way:(

Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray $11.00, Mario Badescu Drying Lotion $10.00, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lift and Firm Concealer in 2 Fair $19.50
I had never been to an Ulta before, but after hearing everyone talk about them on YouTube, I wanted to check them out. I love this store! You can get everything from drugstore brands to more pricey luxury brands all in one spot. I wanted to try a dry shampoo, so I picked up the Oscar Blandi one in the mini section by the register. I do like it, and it doesn't leave any white residue. I just can't get used to the whole dry shampoo thing, but I'm trying to shampoo my hair less. The Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is a bit grubby because I have been using it. I like it because it doesn't dry my skin out and make it flake like other lotions. And the Concealer is just a standard fuller coverage concealer that is great for covering spots.

Sea Savon de Marseille $3.90, Orange Grapefruit Savon de Marseille $3.90, Argan Oil Savon de Marseille $3.90, Sweet Almond Milk Savon de Marseille $3.90 (not shown - it's in my shower), Lemon Savon de Marseille $3.90
I used 3 bars of this soap earlier in the Summer and absolutely loved them. They are super moisturizing, and don't leave my skin feeling tight and itchy. This is the ONLY bar soap I have ever tried that didn't do that. It didn't even dry out and crack while sitting in my shower like most do. My husband has even fallen in love with this soap. He says he'd like me to buy it exclusively from now on! The website I purchased these from is having a Halloween sale until October 30th. You can get 35% off sitewide with the code VAMP35! Check it out.

American Apparel
Cotton Spandex Jersey Legging in Black $28.00, Viscose Dolman Sleeve T in White $32.00
I've wanted to get leggings forever, but was always to self conscious to wear them. Well, I finally bit the bullet, as you can see. I LOVE American Apparel! So I got some standard black leggings and then ran accross this dolman sleeve shirt that I fell in love with, so I had to have it. I love the shirt so much I want to go back and get the one is Dark Mint. You can find both of these items still on their website right now.

I stopped into H & M on a recent trip to the mall. I was looking for a few tops to wear with my black leggings from American Apparel. I picked these two up. I love the material. They are both lightweight, but the long sleeved shirt is warm without being too hot during the changing of the seasons. These are both from the Divided range and I think I paid $9.95 for the t-shirt and either $12.95 or $15.95 for the long sleeved shirt. I can't remember and they don't have either online at the moment. I only got them a few weeks ago, so they are probably still in store.

Ok, that is it! What did you get over the Summer that you are in love with? Do you have any shirts that you like to wear with leggings? I can always use the fashion tips! Thanks for reading.

Summer Empties

It generally takes me quite some time to finish using products other than shampoo and conditioner, but this summer it seemed like everyday almost I was finishing off some other bath and body or skincare product. I have wanted to do an empties post for ages, soooo I took this as a sign to go ahead and bite the bullet and do the post.

This bunch of products were finished over the entire Summer season, and not just one months time. Moving forward I will try to do one a month to keep these posts shorter. This one is gonna be a doozy! I apologize in advance.

This is my massive bag of empties from the Summer.

So let's get into the products shall we.

You see what I'm saying about the sign and all that...I will start with body products.

Bath & Body Works Fresh Picked Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap (Peaches & Tangerines) $5.50, Secret Flawless Renewal Invisible Solid (Completely Clean) $5.29, CeraVe Moisturizing Cream $14.99, Caswell-Massey Almond & Aloe Hand & Body Emulsion $14.00
There was a sale on at Bath & Body Works early in the Spring (like 5 for something), so I went for it and grabbed a few of their Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps. I don't think they make the Peaches version anymore. It looks like it has been replaced with Fresh Apricot. I like these a lot, but the Lemon one was my favorite. I happened to recycle that bottle before I could take these photos. They actually have the sale on right now for these (4 for $15 and 6 for $20).

The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream was given to me as a sample from my Dermatologist a while back and I just got around to using it. My hands were getting dry and cracked, so I needed something heavy duty. I. LOVED. This. Stuff! It moisturized well and sunk into my skin immediately. I hate greasy feeling lotions and this was not at all. I'd definitely purchase the full size of this.

Nothing glamorous about deodorant, and Secret is the only brand I will use after years of going through others. It just works best for me and the formula goes on dry with a nice clean scent. If I hadn't picked up the wrong scent, I would have purchased this one again...that's what happens when you have 2 kids in the store with you.

I got the Caswell-Massey Almond & Aloe Hand & Body Emulsion (whew that's a mouth full) in a Glossybox over the summer. I used it as an all over body moisturizer. I love the scent and it sunk into my skin quickly leaving no greasy feeling. I'm not huge on body moisturizers generally speaking and I normally have tons of lotions lying around the house, so I probably wouldn't run out and purchase the full size, but if I was in the market for a new one I may pick this up.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 $22.50, Lush Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask $6.95, vbeaute Eye Never Nourishing Repair Eye Cream $85.00, Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm $65.00, Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser $30.00, OXY Clinical Clearing Treatment $7.99, Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair $84.00
I got the mini Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment as the Birthday gift from Sephora and decided to give it a whirl. I never really thought about spending $22.50 for a lip balm before, so when I got the sample I figured it was a good time to try it. What can I say, this stuff lives up to the hype. It is crazy moisturizing and glides on your lips like a dream. It smells amazing with a slight lemony scent (I am obsessed over all things lemon, you will soon find out!). My mother in law sent me a full sized one for Mother's Day this year and I went straight on to using that one after my mini ran out. I use it at night before bed and in the morning. I will be sad when the full size one runs out as it is pretty pricey.

Ah much buzz about this brand on YouTube and online period. I actually hadn't ever heard of it until my obsession with YouTube began. I do have a store near me, but I guess it just didn't really stand out to me. Anywho, after hearing about their products for so long I wanted to try a Fresh Face Mask, but after trying my sister's Mask of Magnaminty, I was scared! That one totally dried out and irritated my skin. So I read all of the descriptions online and decided to give Cosmetic Warrior a go. It is formulated for sensitive blemish prone was made for me! I liked this a lot. It was not over drying and did not irritate or break my skin out. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell...ugh, garlic and eggs...esh! But I'd purchase this one again for sure. However, I have my eye on a different face mask to try first.

I ran out of eye cream about a month or so ago, so I figured I'd try this sample of vbeaute Eye Never that came in one of this Summers Glossyboxes. I looked at the prices for the full size products and thought this stuff should transform the skin under my eyes overnight...but alas it did not. What it did do was burn and sting and I think it was the culprit in making the skin under my eyes peel! Ouch! I didn't notice result enough to deal with stingy peeling under eye skin.

The Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm that I got in a Birchbox way back when, was thick and moisturizing. The little tiny pot lasted forever! I liked how it felt on my skin. And it wasn't irritating at all to my eyes. As for the price, it's cheaper than the Kinerase stuff I've been buying, so I'd purchase this if I was in the market for an eye cream.

Ole Henriksen, I wanted to love you. I wanted us to become friends...But this I did not like. I should have known when it said "foaming" in the name. The African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser dried out my skin leaving it tight and itchy before I could even get out of the shower! But luckily my husband liked it and he finished it off for me. I did really love the smell though. I just wish it hadn't disliked my skin so much.

Next up, OXY Clinical Clearing Treatment. This stuff has like a 5% Benzyl Peroxide solution in it. It's great for those super spots that pop up on occasion, but it is just too much for my skin. I used to love this stuff, but as I've gotten older (gasp) and my skin has become more sensitive, I am steering away from this sort of thing. It just tends to dry my skin and make it flake. I also wouldn't recommend this for use under makeup.

Finally for skincare, the cult classic Advanced Night Repair. I've wanted to try this for ages because I heard so many good things about it. Even the lady at the Estee Lauder counter said if she could only have one thing on a deserted island it would be this serum! I just don't get what all the hype is about. I didn't notice any difference in my skin and I use it for a good month. I wouldn't spend $84.00 for this...maybe it's just my skin type it doesn't work for.

Le Chatelard 1802 Gel Douche (Lavande) $24.90*, Olay Silk Whimsy Moisturizing Body Wash with Rose Extract & Almond Oil $5.59, Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel $9.95
The scent of this Le Chatelard 1802 Lavande shower gel was as natural as they come. It smelled exactly like lavender flowers in a field. It is quite herbal, so if you don't like that you may not dig this, but it was nice. The gel felt nice and gave a great lather. It just wasn't quite moisturizing enough for me. I would highly recommend it though if you don't have super dry skin like I do and love the smell of lavender.

Nothing too exciting, but I needed a new shower gel, and I had a coupon for this Olay Silk Whimsy Moisturizing Body Wash (yes, I coupon...but not like the crazy lady's on that Extreme Couponing show). This stuff smelled amazing! Anything with almond oil generally sucks me right in, and this was no exception. It wasn't expensive but it was luxuriously moisturizing and lathered like a much more expensive product.

I absolutely loved the scent of this Happy Hippy Shower Gel, but it was not moisturizing for me at all. I took it on vacation with me to Florida in July and you'd think with the humid heat down there I wouldn't need a moisturizing shower gel, but this was just too stripping for me. Sorry Lush, you win some, you lose some.

Up & Up Smoothing Shave Gel with Soy, First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream $16.50
I liked this Up & Up shaving gel. It smelled nice and was moisturizing for my dry skin. I liked the price too (It is Target's brand, and I think it was something like $3 - $4.). It says it is comparable to the Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Smooth Shave Gel. I've never used that so I can't weigh in, but it was nice and I'd purchase it again.

The First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream was another Glossybox sample. I know Fleur of FleurdeForce on YouTube talks about this brand a lot, so I was excited to get this in my box. I took this on vacation with me this summer also. It was great for travel. I'm not used to a shaving cream that doesn't lather, so it took some getting used to. I thought this would be more hydrating than it was, but it was nice and wasn't irritating at all on my legs while shaving. I think it would be great for those with sensitive skin.

Finally, we will end with hair. I'm not overly fussy over my hair...I do color it on occasion and have it cut like once every other year or so...But I generally am fine with drugstore shampoos and conditioners. I was introduced to Phyto through a Glossybox earlier this year and fell in love with their Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask. I plan to try more of their range someday. But I digress. Let's wrap this thing up shall we!

Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Shampoo $7.49, Garnier Fructis Color Shield Fortifying Conditioner for Color Treated Hair $3.99
The Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Shampoo smelled yummy and fruity and it was hydrating, but I didn't notice any extra volume. Just a run of the mill shampoo in my book. I'm pretty sure I got this on sale and with a coupon as well, so not a huge loss.

Garnier, I didn't like this Color Shield Conditioner. The smell was like sweet tarts, and I'm not overly fond of those. But smell aside (I could have lived with that.) it didn't hydrate or untangle my hair at all. As a matter of fact I felt like my hair was more stripped and damaged after using this than before. I went out and purchased some deep conditioner straight away!

Whew! That was a helluva ramble there. I'm sorry it was so long, and if you stuck it out to the end I applaud and appreciate you! I promise I will start doing these monthly so I don't bore you guys to death. Thanks again for stopping by.

*This product was given to me free of charge to test out. I do work for the company that provided me with this product, but I was not paid to write a review on this blog. I have given my honest opinion after using the full product.

What did you use up this Summer? Do you find you go through more products in the warmer months or cooler months? Let me know if you have any recommendations for things you used up and ran straight out to repurchase!
